Acquisition Guide
The Golden Cloud Serpent is a Mists of Pandaria quest reward earned by raising a Yellow Serpent Egg through the Order of the Cloud Serpent faction in The Jade Forest.
Visit Elder Anli
Head to the Arboretum in The Jade Forest and speak with Elder Anli to receive the quest Wild Things, which begins your Cloud Serpent journey.
Travel to Windward Isle
Go to Windward Isle and find Instructor Tong, who will offer you three quests: Beating the Odds, Empty Nests, and Egg Collection. Complete all three.
Choose the Yellow Egg
After completing Instructor Tong's quests, you will be able to choose an egg — select the Yellow Serpent Egg specifically, as this determines your final mount color and rewards the Reins of the Golden Cloud Serpent. You may change your choice before handing in the quest Choosing the One.
Return to the Arboretum
Pick up The Rider's Journey and return to the Arboretum with your Yellow Serpent Egg to complete the quest It's A... and unlock your Golden Cloud Serpent hatchling. From here, complete Order of the Cloud Serpent dailies over approximately 20 days to earn your mount.
Buy from San Redscale
Alternatively, San Redscale sells the Golden Cloud Serpent for 
3,000 gold with no discount. Find him at 56.6, 44.4 in The Jade Forest, just to the left of the Flight Master in the Arboretum.
Tips
Cloud Serpent mounts are account-wide, but the Cloud Serpent Riding skill is character-specific and requires Order of the Cloud Serpent reputation — only characters that meet the faction requirement can use the mount.
