Acquisition Guide

The Azure Cloud Serpent is a mount obtained through a quest chain in The Jade Forest, beginning with an egg selection that determines your final serpent color.

Visit Elder Anli at the Arboretum

Head to the Arboretum in The Jade Forest and speak with Elder Anli, who will give you the quest Wild Things to begin the Cloud Serpent chain.

Complete Windward Isle Quests

Travel to Windward Isle and find Instructor Tong, who will offer you three quests: Beating the Odds, Empty Nests, and Egg Collection. Complete all three to proceed.

Choose the Blue Serpent Egg

After completing Instructor Tong's quests, you will be asked to choose an egg. Select the Blue Serpent Egg specifically to receive the Reins of the Azure Cloud Serpent. You may change your color choice before handing in Choosing the One.

Return to the Arboretum

Pick up The Rider's Journey and return to the Arboretum with your Blue Serpent Egg in hand to complete It's A... and unlock your Azure Cloud Serpent hatchling.

Learn Cloud Serpent Riding

Visit San Redscale at 56.6, 44.4 in The Jade Forest to learn the Cloud Serpent Riding skill, which is required to ride the Azure Cloud Serpent. Note that this skill is character-specific, so each character that wants to ride the mount must obtain this skill individually.

Tips

  • The Azure Cloud Serpent is account-wide, meaning all characters on your account can use it, but each character still needs the Cloud Serpent Riding skill learned from San Redscale at 56.6, 44.4 in The Jade Forest to ride it.
