The Subdued Seahorse is an epic water mount that drops from Poseidus, a rare spawn found in Shimmering Expanse within Vashj'ir, and is usable in any water, not just Vashj'ir.
Understand Poseidus Spawn Timing
Poseidus has an extremely long spawn timer ranging from 72 to 120 hours, and his timer resets on server restarts and weekly Tuesday maintenance. Because weekly maintenance typically ends around 11:00 am server time, Poseidus will not spawn until at least Friday at 11:00 am server time at the earliest, and at the latest Saturday at 11:00 am server time, meaning he spawns only 1 to 2 times per week under normal conditions.
Travel to Shimmering Expanse
Head to Shimmering Expanse in Vashj'ir and patrol the known Poseidus spawn locations at 66.6, 41.4 and 58.4, 82.2 in Shimmering Expanse, as well as at 37.8, 66.8.
Defeat Poseidus for Mount
When Poseidus spawns, defeat him to have a chance at the Subdued Seahorse mount. The mount is bind-on-equip, meaning if it drops and you do not need it, it can be traded or found on the Auction House.
Tips
Avoid farming on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, as Poseidus will never spawn on these days following the weekly server maintenance.
If an additional unscheduled maintenance occurs during the week, Poseidus may only spawn 0 to 1 times that entire week.
