Acquisition Guide
The Grey Riding Camel is obtained by defeating Dormus the Camel-Hoarder, a rare spawn located at 69.4, 73.2 in Feralas, reached by clicking a Mysterious Camel Figurine found scattered across Uldum.
Search Uldum for Figurines
Fly around Uldum searching for a Mysterious Camel Figurine on the ground. Enable friendly nameplates using Shift+V to make the figurines far easier to spot, and you can increase the nameplate detection range up to 100 via a hidden console variable.
Click the Figurine
When you find a Mysterious Camel Figurine at 37.11, 64.11, click it — note that some figurines are fake and will not teleport you, but a real one will instantly transport you to the Steam Pools plateau in the southeastern part of Feralas.
Defeat Dormus the Camel-Hoarder
Swim out of the water at the Steam Pools and engage Dormus the Camel-Hoarder at 69.4, 73.2 in Feralas before the 20-minute Dormus's Rage debuff expires. Dormus has roughly 250,000 HP and is a level 82 elite — be sure to deal damage yourself before any pet or minion can one-shot him, or you will be unable to loot him.
Loot the Grey Riding Camel
After killing Dormus the Camel-Hoarder, loot his body to receive the Grey Riding Camel mount.
Tips
The Camel Spotter addon automatically enables friendly nameplates when you enter Cataclysm Uldum and alerts you when a figurine nameplate is within range, also identifying whether the figurine is real or fake.
If you are playing a Hunter or have a pet/minion, hold off on letting them attack first — Dormus can be one-shotted by a pet at higher levels, making him unlootable.
