Phosphorescent Stone Drake
The Stonemother has shown little concern for the rebellious Aeonaxx, even allowing his spawn to be taken from her realm.
Acquisition Guide
The Phosphorescent Stone Drake, a glow-in-the-dark drake whose name refers to its ability to store and emit light, is a 100% drop from Aeonaxx, a rare spawn found patrolling the inner circle of Deepholm.
Travel to Deepholm
Head to Deepholm and begin searching for Aeonaxx, a rare but initially friendly mob. Players have reported spotting him spawn directly west of the Temple, flying at roughly the same altitude as the Stonecore entrance.
Locate Aeonaxx's Patrol Path
Aeonaxx patrols the inner circle of Deepholm. Watch for him around at 31.2, 42.6 in Deepholm, and also check the area at 42.6, 46.8 as part of his route.
Mount and Defeat Aeonaxx
When you find Aeonaxx, approach him and use the vehicle interaction prompt to mount him — once mounted, he turns hostile and a message appears reading 'Defeat Aeonaxx before you are overwhelmed by whelps.' He has around 700, 000 health and summons low-health whelps while flying rapidly around Deepholm, which should be killed quickly. Once defeated, he falls to the ground and you loot the Phosphorescent Stone Drake — a parachute is provided for the descent.
Tips
Aeonaxx is a 100% drop, meaning every successful kill rewards the mount.
Aeonaxx begins as a friendly rare, so he will not attack you on sight — you must interact with him via the vehicle prompt to initiate the encounter.
