Acquisition Guide

The Blazing Hippogryph is a level 60 epic mount originally obtained from the World of Warcraft Trading Card Game set Wrathgate, and was later made available as a Twitch drop reward for watching Dragonflight streams.

Obtain via Twitch Drop

Watch 4 hours of Dragonflight Twitch streams during an eligible drop window to earn the Blazing Hippogryph. The drop window ran from 9th May 2023 10:00 PDT to 17th May 2023 10:00 PDT, following Blizzard's trend of offering former TCG items as Twitch drops.

Obtain via TCG Loot Card

The Blazing Hippogryph originated as a loot card from the Wrathgate TCG expansion released on 25th May 2010, with an approximate rarity of 1 in 242 booster packs. Physical loot cards and their codes can still be purchased from other players or third-party marketplaces, and the in-game mount item itself is tradeable between players.

Learn and Check Collection

Once you redeem a loot code or receive the mount item, use it to add the Blazing Hippogryph to your collection. If it does not appear immediately, check your in-game mailbox as the mount may be delivered there. This mount counts toward the Mountain 'o Mounts achievement for both Horde and Alliance.

Tips

  • The Blazing Hippogryph loot card was part of the first TCG expansion produced by Cryptozoic Entertainment, alongside the Instant Statue Pedestal and Landro's Gift Box.
