Acquisition Guide
The Onyxian Drake is a dragon mount that drops from Onyxia in Onyxia's Lair on both 10-man and 25-man difficulties.
Enter Onyxia's Lair
Travel to Onyxia's Lair and enter the raid. The boss is soloable as most classes and specs at max level.
Defeat Onyxia
Defeat Onyxia on either 10-man or 25-man difficulty. A Survival Hunter AOE spec is noted to be effective for handling the whelps during the encounter.
Loot the Drake
The Onyxian Drake has an extremely low drop rate. If it drops, the mount can be traded to any other member of your raid group within 2 hours of looting.
Tips
The Onyxian Drake can also be obtained from an Unclaimed Black Market Container, even if you already own the mount.
