Acquisition Guide
The Magnificent Flying Carpet is a Tailoring-crafted mount from the Wrath of the Lich King expansion, created using a combination of cloth, gems, dyes, and spider silk.
Gather Required Raw Materials
Collect the full list of raw materials needed: 180 
Frostweave Cloth (world drop), 24 
Infinite Dust (disenchant Wrath of the Lich King greens), 4 
Monarch Topaz (mined or prospected), 4 
Red Dye (vendor), 2 
Yellow Dye (vendor), and 4 
Iceweb Spider Silk (world drop). Note that the Frostweave Cloth requirement is 180, not 120.
Craft the Flying Carpet
Once all materials are in hand, use your Tailoring profession to craft the Magnificent Flying Carpet — the finished mount is described by Blizzard with the in-game tooltip 'This is a very fast rug.'
Tips
Rogues attempting to stun you while mounted on this carpet will find the stun does not apply, allowing you to fly away freely.
