Acquisition Guide
The Black War Bear is a mount rewarded for completing the 'For The Horde!' or 'For The Alliance!' achievement by slaying all of the opposing faction's leaders across their respective cities.
Choose Your Faction Path
If you are Horde, you must kill King Magni Bronzebeard in Ironforge, Varian Wrynn in Stormwind City, Tyrande Whisperwind in Darnassus, and Prophet Velen in the Exodar. If you are Alliance, you must kill Thrall in Orgrimmar, Cairne Bloodhoof in Thunder Bluff, Lady Sylvanas Windrunner in Undercity, and Lor'themar Theron in Silvermoon City.
Kill Each Faction Leader
You do not need to kill all four leaders in a single session — you can kill one or two, let the defending players leave, and then return for the remaining leaders on separate attempts.
Claim Your Bear Mount
Once all required faction leaders are slain and the achievement is completed, the Black War Bear will automatically appear in your mount journal rather than being delivered by in-game mail.
