Acquisition Guide
The Flying Machine is a 60% speed flying mount crafted through Engineering, requiring a combination of Fel Iron, Elemental materials, and Star Wood.
Gather Fel Iron Materials
You will need 52x Fel Iron Ore (smelted into 26x Fel Iron Bar), 5x Mote of Fire, and 10x Mote of Earth to cover the crafted components.
Buy Star Wood
Star Wood cannot be crafted and must be purchased from Enchanting Supplies vendors or Grand Master Enchanters in Outland or Northrend — you need 8x Star Wood.
Buy Bolts and Casings
Handful of Fel Iron Bolts and 
Fel Iron Casings can be purchased directly from engineering vendors or spare parts vendors in Area 52 and The Stormspire, saving you significant crafting effort.
Craft the Flying Machine
With 300 Engineering, combine 2x Fel Iron Casing, 20x 
Elemental Blasting Powder, 20x Handful of Fel Iron Bolts, and 8x Star Wood to craft the Flying Machine.
