After promising to fly you to the ends of Outland, the netherwing drake was eventually drawn to the blue skies of Azeroth as well.
Acquisition Guide
The Violet Netherwing Drake is a mount rewarded from the quest Voranaku the Violet Netherwing Drake upon reaching Exalted with the Netherwing faction, after which you speak with Barthamus in Shattrath City to claim it.
Reach Netherwing Exalted
Complete the Netherwing reputation grind until you reach Exalted status. This will unlock the quest Voranaku the Violet Netherwing Drake, which rewards the Reins of the Violet Netherwing Drake.
Speak With Barthamus in Shattrath
After completing the quest chain, travel to Shattrath City in Outland and speak with Barthamus. From him you can choose the Violet Netherwing Drake as your free drake reward.
Purchase Remaining Drakes
Once you have claimed your free drake, you can return to Shadowmoon Valley and purchase the other five Netherwing drake mounts from Drake Dealer Hurlunk at 65.4, 85.8 in Shadowmoon Valley for 
200 gold each.
Tips
All six Netherwing drakes transform into a special Fel Orc-associated color variant whenever you enter Netherwing Ledge, regardless of which drake you are riding.
