Acquisition Guide
The Swift Purple Wind Rider is a Horde epic flying mount purchased from a vendor in Shadowmoon Village, Shadowmoon Valley, flying at 280% speed in Outland.
Travel to Shadowmoon Valley
Head to Shadowmoon Village in Shadowmoon Valley and locate the mount vendor there. This mount requires 300 riding skill to use, which costs 
5,000 gold to train, and 225 riding ( 800 gold) is a prerequisite before you can learn 300 riding.
Purchase the Mount
Buy the Swift Purple Wind Rider from the vendor for 200 Gold. Combined with the 300 riding training, expect a total cost of 5,200 Gold. As of patch 3.1.2, this mount is also available from Mei Francis in Dalaran.
Tips
Flying mounts like the Swift Purple Wind Rider can only be used while in Outland.
