Enter Stratholme via Service Entrance
Travel to the Eastern Plaguelands and use the Elders' Square Service Entrance at 43.32, 19.67 to enter Stratholme. This entrance allows you to reach Lord Aurius Rivendare more directly.
Navigate to Baron Rivendare
From the Eastwall Gate area at 43, 17 in the Eastern Plaguelands, proceed through the dungeon to locate and defeat Lord Aurius Rivendare, the boss who drops the mount.
Understand the Drop Rate
Rivendare's Deathcharger has a 1% drop rate from Lord Aurius Rivendare, a rate that was raised from approximately 1 in 5000 as of patch 3.0.2. Killing Baron 100 times gives a 63.4% cumulative chance to see the mount drop, while 68 runs gives a 50% cumulative chance.
Repeat Runs as Needed
Each kill of Lord Aurius Rivendare gives an independent 1% chance at the mount — meaning whether it is your first run or your five hundredth, the per-kill chance remains 1%. No bosses killed before Baron, Argent Dawn reputation, or the 45-minute timer affect the drop chance.
Tips
Argent Dawn reputation does not affect the mount drop chance, and you do not need an Argent Dawn commission equipped for it to drop.
You only need to kill the minimum required bosses before Lord Aurius Rivendare — killing additional bosses does not change the drop chance.
