Brilliant Direbeak

Travel to Stormheim and defeat the Direbeak Matriarch during her world quest. This causes the orphaned Direbeak Hatchling NPC to spawn nearby.

Interact with the spawned Direbeak Hatchling NPC and feed it its favourite food. Vendors near the closest flightpath to the world quest area sell the required food, so pick some up before approaching the hatchling.

Battle with your Direbeak Hatchling until it reaches pet level 25 — this is required before subsequent quest steps become available.

Take your summoned Direbeak Hatchling to the named city indicated by the quest chain.

Use your Direbeak Hatchling to defeat 3 Rose Taipan wild pets in battle.

Complete 5 World Quests in a specific zone with your Direbeak Hatchling summoned and active.

Start and complete 3 Pet Battle World Quests with the Direbeak Hatchling as your primary pet and kept summoned throughout.

Finish 1 Rare Elite World Quest with your Direbeak Hatchling summoned out at the time of completion.

Use your Direbeak Hatchling to defeat 3 specific wild pets — these are different from the Rose Taipan pets defeated in the earlier step.

Finish 3 PVP World Quests with your Direbeak Hatchling summoned out for each one.

Purchase a specific item from a vendor in Dalaran for your Direbeak Hatchling. Completing this step rewards Item #142497.

Use your Direbeak Hatchling alongside 2 pets of a specific pet family to defeat 3 more specific wild pets.

Enter the required dungeon with your Direbeak Hatchling summoned and defeat the specified boss to complete the chain and receive the Brilliant Direbeak mount.
