Breath of Ruin is the darker ruined skyfang awarded by Midnight Keystone Legend: Season 2 at 3,000 Mythic+ rating. This is a fixed high-rating seasonal target across the same eight-dungeon pool as Keystone Master, not a random dungeon drop.
Complete the 2,000-rating foundation
First earn Midnight Keystone Master: Season 2 and Breath of Blight. Ensure every Season 2 dungeon—Altar of Fangs, Murder Row, Den of Nalorakk, The Blinding Vale, Voidscar Arena, King's Rest, Ruby Life Pools, Temple of Sethraliss—has a meaningful timed score.
Build a stable push group
At Legend range, coordinate routes, interrupts, dispels, defensives, and death recovery with consistent players. Review the lowest-scoring dungeons in the Mythic+ panel and obtain keys for those rather than repeatedly pushing already-high rows.
Time higher keys across the pool
Increase key levels gradually and finish within time. A single failed high push may add little or no score; several controlled upgrades across low rows usually move the total more efficiently.
Use both weekly environments
Some dungeons are materially easier under one weekly affix environment. Secure a score when the dungeon/affix combination is favorable, then target a different weak row the following week instead of forcing the same route.
Reach a true 3,000 total
Continue until the Mythic+ interface displays at least 3,000 and Midnight Keystone Legend: Season 2 triggers. If UI rounding shows 3,000 but no achievement appears, complete another scoring key to exceed the internal threshold.
Claim before season end
Verify Breath of Ruin in Collections before Midnight Season 2 closes. The mount uses a dark, battle-worn skyfang appearance and is distinct from the green 2,000-rating Breath of Blight.
Tips
Treat deaths and depleted keys as route problems to review, not reasons to spam the same level.
This seasonal achievement cannot be finished after the Season 2 cutoff.
