The Pylon Fragment is a decor item obtained through a quest in Dire Maul West, found as a pink crystal object in the room associated with the paladin mount quest.
Enter Dire Maul West
Enter Dire Maul West and head to the south instance portal on the west side of the arena, located to the left of Tendris Warpwood. Run straight to it, ignoring the surrounding mobs.
Locate the Pylon Fragment
Find the Pylon Fragment in the room where Khadgar is located — the pink crystal-like object is placed on the left side of that room, in the area associated with the paladin mount quest.
Pick Up the Item
The Pylon Fragment can be picked up even after turning in the quest, so you do not need to collect it before completing the quest. Note that this optional quest item is inside an unscaled instance, unlike the main quest items in the surrounding area.
