Accept History of Highmountain
Speak with Dariness the Learned to pick up the weekly Archaeology quest "History of Highmountain", which is the starting point of the chain that ultimately rewards the Spear of Rethu.
Complete Surveying Student
After completing "History of Highmountain", the follow-up quest "Surveying Student" will become available — complete it to advance the chain.
Finish Misdirected Quest
The final quest in the chain, "Misdirected", rewards the Spear of Rethu upon completion — this is a weekly chain, so if you miss it, you will need to wait for the next weekly reset.
