Captain Sander's Returned Band
Source: Garrison Mission: For Hate's Sake.
Captain Sander's Returned Band is a Strength-based Heirloom ring obtained from a rare Naval mission in your Garrison Shipyard, introduced in patch 6.2.
Build Level 3 Shipyard
Upgrade your Garrison Shipyard to level 3, which is required for the rare Heirloom ring missions to appear. A level 3 Mage Tower in your Garrison will generate
Mission Completion Orders daily, which can help speed up Shipyard leveling.
Unlock Ghostly Spyglass Blueprint
Loot and turn in the quest for
Equipment Blueprint: Ghostly Spyglass, which is a 100% drop from Captain Ironbeard, then equip the
Ghostly Spyglass on one of your ships — this is required for the Heirloom ring missions to spawn.
Clear Northeast and Southwest Missions
Clear any treasure missions in the top right (northeast) waters of your Naval map, as this speeds up the spawning of the rare Heirloom ring missions, including the one that rewards Captain Sander's Returned Band.
Counter Mission Hazards
When the mission appears, use
Felsmoke Launcher to counter First Strike,
True Iron Rudder to counter Evasive, and Ghostly Spyglass on both Carrier and Destroyer to counter Cursed Crew — you can equip Felsmoke Launcher on one ship and True Iron Rudder on the other. Horde players should use Undead Crew on both Carrier and Destroyer, while Alliance players should use Human Crew on both ships.
Upgrade the Ring
Captain Sander's Returned Band starts at its level 60 version and can be upgraded to level 90 using
Ancient Heirloom Armor Casing, and further upgraded to level 100 using
Timeworn Heirloom Armor Casing.
Tips
The ring missions do not respawn immediately if you fail, so equip your counters before sending ships.
Mission Completion Orders from the Mage Tower can instantly complete the otherwise two-day-long Heirloom ring missions when they appear.
You do not need a character item level of 675 for these missions to spawn, unlike other 6.2 Garrison rare missions.
