Dread Pirate Ring

The 
Dread Pirate Ring is a World Event heirloom ring awarded for placing first or second in the Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza.
Prepare for the Contest
Arrive in Booty Bay at least 15 minutes before the contest begins to set your Hearthstone at the inn and scout fishing spots that are not already occupied by other players.
Compete in the Extravaganza
The contest starts automatically at the scheduled time, so bind your Fishing, mount, Anglers Fishing Raft, and Hearthstone to convenient keys — finishing first or second place earns you the option to choose the Dread Pirate Ring as your reward.
Upgrade the Ring
A newly-won Dread Pirate Ring starts as a 1–60 version and can be upgraded to level 90 with 
Ancient Heirloom Armor Casing, then to level 100 with 
Timeworn Heirloom Armor Casing, and finally to level 110 with 
Weathered Heirloom Armor Casing; note it is unique-equipped, though you can still wear one Garrison Shipyard ring alongside it, such as 
Admiral Taylor's Loyalty Ring, 
Captain Sander's Returned Band, or 
Signet of the Third Fleet.
Tips
Playing on a PvE server reduces interference from other players during the contest.
If you already own the old 1–80 version of the ring, it automatically upgrades to 1–90 and can be upgraded twice using the standard heirloom casings.
