The Exceptional Stormshroud Shoulders is a Bind-to-Account heirloom shoulder item introduced in Wrath of the Lich King, purchasable with Stone Keeper's Shards from a vendor.

1

Gather Stone Keeper's Shards

Stone Keeper's Shards are collected over the course of running heroic dungeons, making them a natural byproduct of gearing your main character without spending Emblems of Heroism.

2

Purchase the Shoulders

Spend your Stone Keeper's Shards at the vendor to purchase the Exceptional Stormshroud Shoulders, which scale with your character's level and provide a 10% experience bonus that stacks with rested experience.

Tips

  • These shoulders are usable by Death Knights, Feral Druids, Hunters, Paladins, Rogues, Enhancement Shaman, and Warriors, making them the most versatile heirloom shoulders for physical DPS classes.

  • The item scales to be equivalent to a blue-quality item at your character's current level, and heirloom armor will transform to match the armor type the wearer can equip.

  • At level 70, equipping these shoulders increases experience gained from kills — for example, a level 68 creature yields 862 XP unequipped versus 948 XP with the shoulders on, and both values double while rested.
