A Race Against Slime
Defeat Kilrogg Deadeye in Hellfire Citadel with Ariok surviving the encounter on Normal difficulty or higher.
A Race Against Slime requires you to defeat Kilrogg Deadeye in Hellfire Citadel on Normal difficulty or higher while keeping Ariok alive, rewarding Ariok as a Garrison Follower.
Check Garrison Level
Your Garrison must be level 3 on the character attempting this achievement before you can receive Ariok as a Follower. Verify this by checking the Even More Plots achievement — if you complete A Race Against Slime before earning Even More Plots, you will not receive the Follower until you have that achievement and then redo the encounter.
Enter Hellfire Citadel
Set the raid to Normal difficulty and enter Hellfire Citadel. Progress through the raid until you reach Kilrogg Deadeye.
Defeat Kilrogg Quickly
Kill Kilrogg Deadeye within 5 minutes and 15 seconds while keeping Ariok alive throughout the fight. Having a player with Cleansing Aura stand near Ariok reduces the damage he takes, helping him survive the encounter.
Tips
If you can defeat Kilrogg on Heroic, the timer is comfortably achievable on Normal, making Normal the recommended difficulty for this achievement.
If you completed A Race Against Slime before Even More Plots, you do not need to re-earn Even More Plots — once you have it, simply redo the Kilrogg encounter with Ariok surviving and the Follower will be granted.
