Earn a Platinum rating in each max-level invasion.

Impervious Defender requires earning a Platinum rating, worth 1300 points, in each max-level invasion across all six invasion types: Iron Horde, Shadowmoon, Ogres, Botani, Goren, and Shadow Council.

1

Understand the Platinum Threshold

Platinum rating requires 1300 points total. Aim for 1105–1110 points by the end of the 7-minute 30-second stage, as the final boss will push your score past 1300.

2

Know the Invasion Difficulty Order

The six invasion types range from easiest to hardest as follows: Goren, Botani, Ogre, Shadowmoon (roughly equal), Iron Horde, and Shadow Council being the most difficult to earn Platinum in.

3

Complete All Invasion Locations

Iron Horde invasions include Mok'gol Watchpost, the Iron Siegeworks, and Darktide Roost. Shadowmoon invasions include Pillars of Fate, Socrethar's Rise, and Skettis. Ogre invasions include Stonefury Cliffs and the Gorian Proving Grounds (no missive available for this one). Botani invasions include Lost Veil Anzu and the Everbloom Wilds. Goren invasions include Magnarok and the Broken Precipice. Shadow Council invasions include Shattrath Harbor and the Heart of Shattrath (no missive available for this one).

4

Use Missives to Locate Mobs

Missives are not required to trigger an invasion — killing enough enemies in the invasion area will activate it — but missives mark the enemy location on your map, so using them when available saves time.

5

Respond to Building Attacks and Threats

Whenever a building is being attacked or a Horde Spy or Rylak appears, deal with them immediately to avoid losing points that would otherwise push you toward Platinum.

6

Use Bear Tartare for Mobility

Bear Tartare significantly increases your movement speed, allowing you to cover the invasion area faster and handle more objectives within the time limit.

7

Deploy Garrison Support Consumables

Place an Enchanted Crystal of Replenishment at each of the two entrances to support your garrison fighters — it restores 10,000 HP and mana per second over an 8-yard radius. Avoid the Enduring Vial of Swiftness, as it is a one-time-use consumable and does not provide a lasting benefit.

8

Claim Your Platinum Reward

Earning Platinum in every invasion completes the Impervious Defender achievement and rewards the Routed Invader's Crate of Spoils.

Tips

  • Shadow Council invasions are significantly harder than all other invasion types — complete the remaining five invasion types first to avoid wasting attempts.

  • Shadowmoon invasions are known to be difficult enough that scores of only around 1200 are common without optimized play — prioritize maximizing objectives during the 7-minute 30-second stage to hit the 1105–1110 midpoint target.
