Defeat all mount-in-training targets in Nagrand while carrying the Garn-Tooth Necklace.

The Stable Master achievement requires you to defeat all six mount-in-training targets across Nagrand while carrying the Garn-Tooth Necklace, rewarding you with the title: Stable Master.

1

Reach Level 3 Stables

Upgrade your Garrison Stables to level 3. Once you do, the Garn-Tooth Necklace becomes available and the achievement can be completed.

2

Obtain Mount-In-Training Whistles

Speak to Keegan Firebeard (Alliance) at your Garrison Stables to request mounts-in-training for additional training runs. He will give you whistles for each mount. Each whistle has only 3 charges — every time you mount up, even if you fail to kill the target, one charge is consumed. Return to your Garrison to get a new whistle if you run out.

3

Defeat Gorian Beast-Lasher

With the Garn-Tooth Necklace in your bags and a whistle in hand, ride to Gorian Beast-Lasher at 79.2, 71.6 in Nagrand and defeat it while mounted on your training mount.

4

Defeat Ironbore

Travel to Ironbore at 53.2, 77.6 in Nagrand and defeat it while mounted on your training mount.

5

Defeat Karak the Great Hunter

Travel to Karak the Great Hunter at 69.6, 34.6 in Nagrand and defeat it while mounted on your training mount.

6

Defeat Maimclaw

Travel to Maimclaw at 63.8, 80.8 in Nagrand and defeat it while mounted on your training mount. Be aware that Maimclaw uses a Swipe ability that stacks — if you accumulate too many stacks you will lose, so dodge the swipes when possible.

7

Defeat Moth of Wrath

Travel to Moth of Wrath at 43.6, 69.6 in Nagrand and defeat it while mounted on your training mount.

8

Defeat Thundercall

Travel to Thundercall at 90.6, 23.6 in Nagrand and defeat it while mounted on your training mount. Once all six targets are defeated, the achievement and the Stable Master title will be awarded.

Tips

  • Paladins and Death Knights: after completing this achievement, the stables building can be removed from your Garrison, as the mount speed increase from the stables does not stack with your class-specific mount speed bonus.

  • Hunters: switch your training mount to Tenacity spec and create a macro with /cast Mend Pet to heal your mount during fights. Using Mend Pet directly from the spellbook will instead cast Revive Pet due to WoD changes, since your normal pet is dismissed while on a training mount.
