Family Familiar
Complete the following achievements.
Family Familiar is a meta-achievement requiring you to complete 10 sub-achievements by defeating 15 Master Tamers on the Broken Isles using teams of three pets from the same family, earning the 
Nightmare Treant pet upon completion.
Understand the Meta-Achievement
Family Familiar requires completing 10 sub-achievements, each tied to a specific pet family: Aquatic Acquiescence (Aquatic), Mousing Around (Critter), Ragnaros, Watch and Learn (Elemental), Murlocs, Harpies, and Wolvar, Oh My! (Humanoid), Roboteer (Mechanical), Best of the Beasts (Beast), Dragons! (Dragon), Flock Together (Flying), Master of Magic (Magic), and The Lil' Necromancer (Undead). For each sub-achievement, you must defeat any 12 of the 15 Broken Isles Master Tamers using a full team of three living pets from that family — all three pets must be alive at the start of the battle for the fight to count toward progress.
Defeat Nightwatcher Merayl in Azsuna
Find Nightwatcher Merayl at 46.4, 40.4 in Azsuna. Her pets are Breezy Book, Helpful Spirit, and Delicate Moth. This fight is associated with the world quest Training with the Nightwatchers.
Defeat Durian Strongfruit in Val'sharah
Find Durian Strongfruit at 47, 39.6 in Val'sharah. His pets are Sunny, Roots, and Beaky. This fight is associated with the world quest Training with Durian.
Defeat Xorvasc in Val'sharah
Find Xorvasc at 63.6, 60.6 in Val'sharah. His pets are Trixy, Globs, and Nightmare Sprout. This fight is associated with the world quest Dealing with Satyrs.
Defeat Bredda Tenderhide in Highmountain
Find Bredda Tenderhide at 47.6, 69 in Highmountain. Her pets are Lil' Spirit Guide, Quillino, and Fethyr. This fight is associated with the world quest Training with Bredda.
Defeat Grixis Tinypop in Highmountain
Find Grixis Tinypop at 41, 35.8 in Highmountain. His pets are Gulp, Egcellent, and Red Wire. This fight is associated with the world quest Tiny Poacher, Tiny Animals.
Defeat Odrogg in Highmountain
Find Odrogg at 44.6, 22.6 in Highmountain. Head to this location to engage him as one of the required 15 Broken Isles Master Tamers.
Defeat Robert Craig in Stormheim
Find Robert Craig at 78.4, 57.2 in Stormheim. He is the tamer referenced for the Best of the Beasts achievement and requires a full team of three living Beast pets at the start of the encounter to count toward progress.
Defeat Trapper Jarrun in Stormheim
Find Trapper Jarrun at 56.8, 46.2 in Stormheim and defeat him with a matching family team of three living pets.
Defeat Suramar Tamers
Three Master Tamers are located in Suramar: find Aulier at 52, 54.8, Varenne at 63, 60.6, and Master Tamer Flummox at 25.2, 62.6. Defeat each with a team of three living pets from the same family to count progress toward each relevant sub-achievement.

Use Multiple Characters Daily
Each Master Tamer is tied to a daily world quest reset. Running the fights on multiple characters each day allows you to accumulate more sub-achievement completions per reset cycle, speeding up overall progress toward Family Familiar.
Tips
All 120 individual fights across the 10 sub-achievements can be prepared for before entering the Broken Isles content, as every required pet is obtainable prior to the Legion expansion zones.
Each sub-achievement requires defeating any 12 of the 15 available Master Tamers with that family — you do not need to complete all 15, so you can skip the three hardest matchups per family.
