Charged Up
Defeat 30 Shadow Council members while under the effects of Arkonite Empowerment in Shattrath City.
Charged Up requires you to defeat 30 Shadow Council members while under the effects of Arkonite Empowerment in Shattrath City, earned by standing near a Tainted Arkonite Crystal until it shoots a green laser at you and applies a 10-second debuff.
Avoid the Garrison Daily
If 'Assault on Shattrath Harbor' is your active garrison daily, the Tainted Arkonite Crystal can be destroyed for quest credit — do not attempt this achievement on that day, as destroying the crystal prevents you from using it.
Locate a Tainted Arkonite Crystal
There are 4 spawn locations, but only one crystal is ever active at a time. Check at 40, 17.7, at 41, 21, and at 37.8, 19 (inside the Fel Hound pit) — the crystal respawns approximately every 10 minutes at whichever location it chooses.
Clear Mobs Before Crystal Spawns
While waiting for the crystal at 40, 17.7 — a recommended out-of-the-way spot — kill all nearby Shadow Council members so they are ready to respawn fresh when the crystal appears, keeping the area clear of interference.
Stand Near Crystal, Not On It
Do NOT interact with or destroy the crystal; stand close to it and let it shoot a green laser at you, applying the Arkonite Empowerment debuff — if you destroy the crystal, you must wait for it to respawn.
Kill Mobs While Both Are Debuffed
Pull Shadow Council members so they are within range of the crystal, ensuring both you and the mob have the Arkonite Empowerment debuff active — kills only count toward the achievement when the mob also has the debuff, not just you.
Tips
The crystal at 37.8, 19 is inside the Fel Hound pit and is easy to overlook — if the other locations are empty, check there before assuming no crystal is up.
On high-population servers, the daily event draws many players to the area, which can cause rapid mob respawns and make reaching 30 kills significantly faster.
