Successfully complete both of the following evolutions within the Lost Veil Anzu:

Monster Mash requires you to complete both parasite evolutions — Shadow Hulk and Gluttonous Giant — within the Lost Veil Anzu while on the daily Apexis quest Assault on Lost Veil Anzu.

1

Pick Up the Daily Quest

You must have the daily Apexis quest Assault on Lost Veil Anzu active before entering the area. Without this quest, the parasite will not attach to you.

2

Dismiss Your Garrison Bodyguard

Before you begin consuming enemies, dismiss any active garrison bodyguard. A bodyguard killing enemies alongside you significantly slows parasite evolution, requiring far more kills to trigger a morph.

3

Kill Ogres for Gluttonous Giant

Enter Lost Veil Anzu and consume only Ogre mobs. The parasite will evolve passively as your quest bar fills, eventually transforming you into the Gluttonous Giant. Once this morph triggers, run out of the quest area to reset your progress bar before it reaches 100%.

4

Return for Shadow Hulk

Run back into the Lost Veil Anzu area so the parasite reattaches, then consume only Goblins. The parasite will evolve again and transform you into the Shadow Hulk, completing the second part of the achievement.

Tips

  • While morphed, your actions contribute multiple points of progress to the quest bar, causing it to reach 100% very quickly — exit the area immediately after your first morph triggers to preserve the second evolution attempt.

  • The parasite evolution is tracked by these on-screen messages: 'A strange parasite attaches itself to your head', followed by 'The Amorphic Cognitor tightens its grip on your head' twice — confirming your consumes are counting. See the video guides for a visual walkthrough.
