Obtain 250 mounts (usable by a single character).

Mountacular requires obtaining 250 mounts usable by a single character, rewarding the Felfire Hawk mount upon completion.

1

Understand What Counts

Only mounts your character can actually use count toward the achievement — opposing faction mounts, class-specific mounts your character cannot use (such as Paladin or Warlock mounts), and profession-specific mounts you lack the profession for all appear in your Mount Tab total but do NOT contribute to achievement progress. The achievement tracks the single character with the highest number of usable learned mounts.

2

Purchase Horde Vendor Mounts

Horde characters can purchase mounts from racial vendors across multiple cities: Hawkstriders from Silvermoon City, Wolf mounts from Orgrimmar, Kodo mounts from Thunder Bluff, Raptor whistles from the Darkspear vendors, and Goblin Trike keys from the Bilgewater Cartel vendor, adding up to 49 Horde and neutral vendor mounts toward your total.

3

Use Class Alt to Push Count

If your main character is close to 250 but not quite there, logging into a Paladin or Warlock alt at level 20 or higher can add class-specific mounts to your account's usable pool — one player reached 248 on their main and received the achievement after logging into their Paladin alt.

Tips

  • The Warlord's Deathwheel mount is automatically granted to Horde characters whose accounts logged in between July 24, 2014 and September 30, 2014, adding one additional mount to your Horde character's count.

  • If you learn Jewelcrafting mounts across multiple characters, only the mounts usable by your specific character on that one character count — learning four JC mounts may only credit two if the others are restricted.
