Successfully complete Wave 30 of the Basic Tank (Endless) trial at the Proving Grounds.

Proving Yourself: Endless Tank (Wave 30) is an achievement earned by surviving through Wave 30 of the Basic Tank (Endless) trial at the Proving Grounds, rewarding the title The Proven Defender.

1

Repair Gear Before Starting

Items lose durability during the trial, so repair all gear before entering the Proving Grounds event.

2

Prioritize Survival Over Damage

Focus on keeping yourself and your healer alive rather than killing enemies quickly, and use abilities only when needed rather than burning them freely.

3

Save Cooldowns for Hard Waves

The most punishing waves are Wave 2, Wave 6, and Wave 9 — hold your major defensive and mitigation cooldowns specifically for those waves.

4

Stay Until You Fail a Wave

After completing Wave 30, do not leave the scenario manually — you must die or fail a wave for the achievement to be awarded.

Tips

  • See the video guide for a full visual walkthrough of the trial waves.

  • Higher item level gear makes the trial easier because items do not scale down to a fixed level, giving you a genuine advantage.

  • Death Knights should consider Remorseless Winter and Asphyxiate talents to stun mobs, which is especially effective on Wave 2 and Wave 9.

  • Brewmaster Monks can place their Black Ox Statue in the center of lava pools left by flamecasters to redirect mob attention and reduce incoming damage.
