By Fire Be... Merged?
Complete the quest "Rekindling an Old Flame" without using a Kindling Flame to rekindle the essence in Magnarok.
By Fire Be... Merged? is earned by completing the quest Rekindling an Old Flame without using a Kindling Flame to rekindle the essence in Magnarok.
Start the Assault on Magnarok
You must be on the Assault on Magnarok daily to pick up the quest Rekindling an Old Flame. If you have already completed other objectives from the daily before picking up Rekindling an Old Flame, abandon the daily and re-accept it so the quest becomes available.
Pick Up the Essence
Pick up the Essence of Flame and carry it to Firaga, the fire elemental at the back of Magnarok at 74, 30. Do not use a Kindling Flame pyre to reignite it, do not get hit by tornadoes, and do not mount normally — these will disqualify you from the achievement.
Use a Glider or Feather
Use
Aviana's Feather to gain altitude, then cancel the buff and deploy a
Goblin Glider Kit just before landing to carry the Essence to Firaga at 74, 30 without triggering disqualifying conditions. Alternatively, use the
Skull of the Mad Chief as another method to reach Firaga safely.
Turn In the Quest
Deliver the Essence of Flame to Firaga at 74, 30 and complete Rekindling an Old Flame to earn the achievement.
Tips
Rogues can stealth and sprint directly to Firaga at 74, 30 without aggroing enemies as an alternative to using gliders or feathers.
See the video guides for a visual walkthrough of carrying the Essence safely to Firaga.
