Complete Garrison Quest Chains
Questing through your Garrison quest chains in Shadowmoon Valley, Gorgrond, Talador, and Spires of Arak provides a large portion of the 40 followers needed for this achievement.
Use Your Garrison Inn
Recruiting followers through your Garrison Inn via the Headhunter counts toward the Commander achievement, making it a reliable source to close the gap toward 40.
Pursue Achievements and Reputation
Completing relevant achievements and reputation-based activities within Draenor unlocks additional followers, and these all count toward the 40-follower threshold required for Commander.
