Before heading out, stack as much fishing skill as possible. Equip a Hightfish Cap or Tentacled Hat, use a Ephemeral Fishing Pole, attach a High Test Eternium Fishing Line, apply a Heat-Treated Spinning Lure, wear Boots of the Bay, and use Formula: Enchant Gloves - Angler on your gloves — all of these stack together and can add up to 425 fishing skill. Enormous fish only begin appearing reliably at skill 650-700, with the chance rising to near 100% at skill 950.

Each zone has a special bait tied to its target Enormous fish. You receive bait naturally as you fish in that zone — roughly a 1-in-5 to 1-in-10 chance per cast — and you can only hold one bait at a time. Using bait while fishing not only helps you avoid catching the trash fish equivalent (Crescent Saberfish), it also lets you fish continuously without relying solely on schools. Always use your bait the moment you receive it.

Travel to Spires of Arak and fish at inland water pools. There are few schools spread across the map, so rely on Abyssal Gulper Eel Bait to keep fishing without interruption. The best confirmed fishing spot is at 84.53, 43.67 in The Undergrowth, with an additional inland pool at 51.67, 32.91. Each session here should take around 20-35 minutes and yield 15-25 fishing skill. You are looking to catch an Enormous Abyssal Gulper Eel.

Head to Frostfire Ridge and fish at inland locations. A confirmed fishing location is the Frostwall Approach at 56.1, 74.99, with an additional inland pool at 51.10, 59.21. Use Fire Ammonite Bait as soon as you receive it to avoid catching trash fish and to fish more efficiently. You are looking to catch an Enormous Fire Ammonite.

Travel to Gorond, The Fertile Ground in Nagrand and fish at the inland pools at 48.39, 34. An additional confirmed pool is located at 40.34, 76.56. Use Jawless Skulker Bait when it drops to maximize your chances of catching an Enormous Jawless Skulker.

Fish at inland waters in Talador. Use Blackwater Whiptail Bait when you receive it to avoid trash fish. A confirmed fishing pool is located at 78.93, 54.76. You are looking to catch an Enormous Blackwater Whiptail.

Fish at inland waters in Shadowmoon Valley. Use Blind Lake Sturgeon Bait as soon as you receive it. A confirmed fishing route runs through multiple inland pools: start at 61.59, 53.78, follow the path north of the lake west across the bridge and uphill to a puddle at 57.21, 56.30, then back onto the path south-west and up through the base to 52.27, 60.23. You are looking to catch an Enormous Blind Lake Sturgeon.

Fish at inland waters in Nagrand and use Fat Sleeper Bait when it drops to avoid trash fish and fish more efficiently. You are looking to catch an Enormous Fat Sleeper.

The best fishing location for the Enormous Sea Scorpion is Stormshield. Use Sea Scorpion Bait whenever you receive it to avoid pulling trash fish and to fish more continuously.

You cannot catch any Enormous fish inside your garrison until you already have the Fishing Shack Level 3 unlocked — which is the reward for this achievement itself. All seven fish must be caught by traveling to their respective outdoor zones.
