The Trap Game
Place 50 Work Orders at the Barn by trapping creatures in the world.
The Trap Game is a 5-point achievement earned by placing 50 Work Orders at the Barn building in your Garrison by trapping creatures in the world.
Build the Barn
In your Garrison's Great Hall, purchase the Barn blueprint from the small NPC to the right of the drafting board — do not confuse this with the Stables, which does not support trapping. Upgrade it to at least level 2.
Pick Up the Trap Quest
Accept the quest from Homer Stonefield, which places a trap item in your inventory. Add the trap to one of your action bars for quick access.
Get the Soft Foam Sword
Obtain the
Soft Foam Sword toy before heading out to trap. At max level (level 70 or above), this toy lets you weaken creatures without killing them — no need to swap out your main weapon, simply place the toy on one button and the trap on an adjacent button, then hit the mob and activate the trap.
Farm Young Rocktusk Boars
Head to Rooter's Pass at 43, 37 in Gorgrond, located between The Pit and Gorgorek's Fall — the nearest flight path is Skysea Ridge at 40, 37. This area is densely populated with level 92 Young Rocktusk boars that drop below 50% HP in one or two hits from a max-level player and have an exceptionally fast respawn rate. Trapping these boars also yields
Meaty Caged Beast, used to obtain Savage Feasts from your Barn.
Queue Work Orders Consistently
Each trapped creature generates a Work Order at your Barn; at the standard rate of one Work Order every 4 hours, placing all 50 orders takes approximately 18.5 days on a single character. Because the achievement is account-wide, running multiple characters through the same process reduces the total time proportionally. Rush Order: Barn can also accelerate completion but requires Garrison Resources to purchase.
Tips
Avoid using the Whole-Body Shrinka' toy as a substitute for the
Soft Foam Sword — it significantly reduces movement speed and mounting cancels the effect entirely, making it inefficient between pulls.Adding a follower with a work order-boosting trait to your Barn increases the number of Work Orders per building beyond the base 14, reducing the total days needed to reach 50.
The achievement is account-wide, so distributing trapping across multiple characters on the same account multiplies daily Work Order progress.
