Defeat 20 contenders while wearing a contender's outfit purchased during Day of the Dead.

Vientos! is a 5-point achievement earned by defeating 20 contenders while wearing one of the five Contender's Costumes purchased from Chapman during Day of the Dead.

1

Purchase a Contender's Costume

Buy one of the five costumes from Chapman for 100g each: "Blooming Rose" Contender's Costume, "Purple Phantom" Contender's Costume, "Snowy Owl" Contender's Costume, "Santo's Sun" Contender's Costume, or "Night Demon" Contender's Costume. You only need to purchase the costume during Day of the Dead — the achievement itself can be completed at any time of year.

2

Understand the Costume Abilities

Equipping the costume grants a button that casts one of three randomized abilities: Quick Punch (deals 10% max HP), Strong Sweep (deals 20% max HP in a 4-yard cone), or Jump Attack (deals 30% max HP and leaps 7 yards forward). Both you and your target must be wearing one of the five costumes, and while the costume is active you cannot be healed and are silenced.

3

Duel Friends for Credit

Challenge friends to duels while both parties wear a costume — only the killing blow awards credit, so avoid having multiple people attack the same target. After each defeat the loser's costume goes on cooldown, so rotate through multiple friends so that by the time you finish one round, the first person's cooldown has expired and they can re-equip their costume. Holy priests drop to defeat on each duel loss, so avoid using that spec when farming kills.

Tips

  • You do not need to buy the costume during Day of the Dead each year — a single purchase is enough to complete the achievement at any point afterward.

  • Only killing blows count toward progress, so if multiple players are attacking one target, only the one who lands the finishing hit receives credit.
