Golden Defender
Successfully complete a garrison invasion with a Gold rating or better.
Golden Defender requires you to complete a garrison invasion with a Gold rating, which means earning at least 1,000 invasion points during the event.
Trigger a Garrison Invasion
Kill level 100 mobs in Apexis Crystal quest areas such as The Pit in Gorgrond for 1-2 hours to trigger an invasion. This gives your garrison a chance to be attacked by one of six invasion types: Ogre, Shadow Council, Shadowmoon, Botani, Goren, or Iron Horde.
Bring Two Friends
Group with two other players before the invasion begins — they will share in the rewards even without the quest. Split up so each player covers roughly one third of the garrison base to handle waves as efficiently as possible.
Deploy Bodyguard Followers
Each player in the group can bring their own bodyguard follower into the invasion; avoid bodyguards with taunt abilities to reduce the chance of them dying during the event. Additionally, one player in the group can recruit a garrison follower to patrol alongside the group.
Buy Defensive Crystals
Purchase up to three crystals from Deedree inside your Town Hall for 
60 Garrison Resources each, then place them anywhere in your garrison to provide additional support to you and your defenders during the invasion.
Use Call to Arms
Activate your Call to Arms spell during the invasion to contribute additional points toward the 1,000 required for Gold rating.
Tips
If your group scores over 1,000 points but the achievement does not award, this is a known bug — the achievement has failed to trigger for some groups even after confirmed Gold scores.
