Empower and defeat a Fortified Replicating Gorian Warmage and then defeat Imperator Mar'gok in Highmaul on Normal difficulty or higher.

Lineage of Power requires you to empower and defeat a Fortified Replicating Gorian Warmage, then defeat Imperator Mar'gok in Highmaul on Normal difficulty or higher.

1

Enter Highmaul, engage Mar'gok

Enter Highmaul and fight Imperator Mar'gok. Damage him down to 55% to trigger the first intermission, but do not kill the Gorian Warmage adds — you need one alive for the achievement.

2

Kite Warmage into purple mist

During the first intermission at 55%, Mar'gok channels and spawns a purple mist cloud on the ground. Position yourself inside the Gorian Warmage's melee range and move away just as he finishes a cast, causing him to step toward you, then repeat this to kite him into the purple mist so he gains the Fortification buff.

3

Bring Warmage to second mist

Keep the Warmage alive and at low health, then push Mar'gok to 25% for the second intermission. Kite or drag the Warmage into the new purple mist cloud so he gains the Replicating buff on top of the Fortification buff, giving him a total of both empowerments.

4

Kill empowered Warmage, then Mar'gok

Once the Warmage has both the Fortification and Replicating buffs, kill him — the achievement progress will update. Then finish off Imperator Mar'gok to complete the achievement.

Tips

  • A Death Knight is the most reliable way to move the Gorian Warmage into the mist — using Death Grip twice and Gorefiend's Grasp once can reposition him fully within a single intermission window.

  • If playing solo without a Death Knight, kite the Warmage by standing just inside his melee range and walking away as he finishes a cast; he will take steps toward you and can be slowly walked into the mist.
