Hurry Up, Maggot!
Cause the Butcher in Highmaul to slay 6 Maggots before defeating him on Normal difficulty or higher.
Hurry Up, Maggot! is a 10-point achievement earned by causing the Butcher in Highmaul to slay 6 Maggots before he is defeated, on Normal difficulty or higher.
Enter Highmaul on Normal
Enter Highmaul and set the difficulty to Normal or higher before engaging the Butcher. The achievement does not require a group — enter and begin the encounter.
Use the Maggot Macro
Spam the following macro as soon as the fight begins to locate and mark each Maggot as it spawns: /target Maggot then /script SetRaidTarget("target",8); — one person should be responsible for running this macro throughout the entire encounter.
Let Butcher Kill Maggots
Once a Maggot is marked, have the Butcher's cleave kill it by positioning the group standing on the Maggot while the tank turns the Butcher away from it — when the cleave goes off and kills the Maggot, immediately spam the macro again to find the next one.
Repeat for All Six Maggots
Continue marking and killing Maggots with the Butcher's cleave until the macro no longer finds any remaining Maggots, then defeat the Butcher to complete the achievement.
Tips
For a solo attempt, start the fight with a pet on the Butcher to hold aggro, then position yourself on the opposite side of the arena to avoid cleave stacks building up — run to each marked Maggot so the Butcher follows and kills it, then retreat to let stacks drop before repeating.
