Complete the Spires of Arak storylines listed below.
Between Arak and a Hard Place requires completing the Spires of Arak storylines, rewarding 10 points and unlocking the Treasure Map: Spires of Arak.
Complete Shadows Gather Storyline
Complete the Shadows Gather quest chain in Spires of Arak. The storyline begins in the north where it is marked on the map, starting with The Shadows of Skettis and progressing through Hidden in Plain Sight, Orders from on High, The Crone, and culminating with A Gathering of Shadows to complete the Shadows Gather storyline.
Complete Admiral Taylor's Garrison
Complete the Admiral Taylor's Garrison storyline by working through quests including What's Theirs is Ours, A Piece of the Puzzle, Second in Command, Punishable by Death, Prime the Cannons, and Surviving in a Savage Land to finish the Admiral Taylor's Garrison storyline.
Complete Establishing Axefall
If Establishing Axefall is not progressing, find and complete the Peace Offering quest, which starts a short quest chain that does not appear on the quest map while in Spires of Arak. This chain leads to A Lack of Wasps, which then sends you to Axefall to complete quests including Best Deals Anywhere, Sticky Situation, All Natural, and The Ebon Hunter.
Recruit Talonpriest Ishaal
After earning the achievement, travel to Veil Terokk at 46.5, 46.8 to find Talonpriest Ishaal. Pick up the quest Talonpriest Ishaal from him to recruit him as a follower.
Tips
The Peace Offering quest does not appear on the quest map while in Spires of Arak, making it easy to miss — seek it out specifically if Establishing Axefall is not completing.
