Swift White Hawkstrider
Obtain the Swift White Hawkstrider from Kael'thas Sunstrider in Magisters' Terrace.
The Swift White Hawkstrider is a mount dropped by Kael'thas Sunstrider in Magisters' Terrace, obtainable on Heroic difficulty.
Unlock Heroic Mode
Complete the Magister's Terrace questline on Normal difficulty first, which is required before you can enter the instance on Heroic mode.
Enter on Heroic Difficulty
Enter Magisters' Terrace on Heroic and kill Kael'thas Sunstrider. You must kill all bosses to reach him, as they gate access to his chamber.
Navigate the First Hallway
Stick to the center of the first hallway to avoid unnecessary aggro. If two patrolling enemies approach, veer to one side. At the end of the hallway, staying centered avoids the last four mobs unless an Imp pet is blocking the path, in which case kill or bypass it before proceeding.
Clear Selin Fireheart's Room
Selin Fireheart is linked to the wretched in his room, so engaging him pulls the entire group. Pull them all, break line of sight, and AoE them down together.
Skip Trash Before Kael'thas
The trash pack directly before Kael'thas Sunstrider can be skipped, saving time. Be aware that skipped trash nearby may aggro during phase 2 of his fight.
Loot Kael'thas Sunstrider
After defeating Kael'thas Sunstrider, loot his corpse for a chance at the Swift White Hawkstrider. Based on player farming data, the mount took approximately 28 runs to obtain, suggesting a low drop rate. Reset the instance each week and repeat.
Tips
The drop is only available on Heroic difficulty from Kael'thas Sunstrider's corpse, so Normal runs do not contribute to obtaining the mount.
Caster classes should be cautious of the anti-magic shield used by enemies in the dungeon and use line of sight to manage large pulls.
