Giant Dinosaur vs. Mega Snail
Open the Thrice-Locked Cage during the Thok the Bloodthirsty encounter in Siege of Orgrimmar on Normal difficulty or higher, and then allow its inhabitant to feast upon Thok's corpse once you have defeated the encounter.
Giant Dinosaur vs. Mega Snail is a 10-point achievement earned in Siege of Orgrimmar by opening the Thrice-Locked Cage during the Thok the Bloodthirsty encounter and allowing the released Gastropod to feed on Thok's corpse after the kill.
Enter Siege of Orgrimmar
Enter Siege of Orgrimmar on Normal difficulty or higher and navigate to the Thok the Bloodthirsty encounter area.
Open the Snail Cage First
During the transition phase, focus DPS on the Kor'kron Jailers and loot their key, but instead of opening the standard cage, open the Thrice-Locked Cage on the left side as you walk down the floor toward Thok — this is the cage containing the Gastropod.
Handle the Extra Jailer
After opening the Gastropod's cage, a second Kor'kron Jailer with reduced HP spawns on the floor; tank it and move it to the normal kill position, then loot its key and open the standard cage to continue the encounter as normal.
Repeat Across Three Transitions
Repeat the cage-opening process across three full transition phases, and before the final transition bring Thok down to approximately 5% HP so he can be finished off quickly once the Gastropod is fully released.
Release Gastropod, Defeat Thok
After the third opening of the Gastropod's cage the snail — with approximately 21 million HP — will emerge and walk directly toward Thok; kill Thok and allow the Gastropod to reach and feed on the corpse, which triggers the achievement award.
