Stomp on 6 superheated Crawler Mines and then defeat the Iron Juggernaut in Siege of Orgrimmar on Normal difficulty or higher.

Fire in the Hole! requires you to stomp on 6 superheated Crawler Mines and then defeat the Iron Juggernaut in Siege of Orgrimmar on Normal difficulty or higher.

1

Enter Siege of Orgrimmar

Enter Siege of Orgrimmar solo and engage the Iron Juggernaut. Enable your Achievement Tracker so you can monitor progress as each mine stomp registers.

2

Position Near the Entrance Ridge

After pulling the Iron Juggernaut, park yourself near the gate and the hill where you entered. When Shock Pulse fires, this position prevents you from being knocked all the way to the back of the room.

3

Wait for Siege Phase

Hold off on heavy damage to the boss and wait roughly a minute for Siege Mode to begin. The Cutter Laser only activates during the Siege Phase, so the superheating mechanic is not available before this point.

4

Superheat Crawler Mines with Laser

When Crawler Mines spawn, position yourself so the Cutter Laser passes through them — this changes the mine's name to indicate it is superheated. Avoid kiting the laser through any oil puddles, as contact with oil ends the laser early. Because the laser moves slowly, expect to superheat roughly one mine per pass.

5

Stack to Cluster Mine Spawns

Crawler Mines spawn on a random player, so standing on the same spot as other mines are about to appear ensures all three mines land in one location. Do not stack too early or tar can appear on your chosen stack point.

6

Stomp All 6 Superheated Mines

Stand directly on each superheated Crawler Mine to stomp it — stomping launches you into the air, so immediately click the next superheated mine to chain stomps together. Use any available class ability to reduce fall damage or recover health between stomps, as falling damage is the primary hazard. Repeat across Siege Phases until all 6 mines are stomped.

7

Defeat Iron Juggernaut

Once 6 superheated Crawler Mines have been stomped, burn down the Iron Juggernaut to complete the achievement. Stay clear of the front of the boss to avoid any damage-over-time effects.

Tips

  • See the video guide for a visual walkthrough of the laser-kiting and mine-stomping sequence.

  • Warriors, mages, druids, rogues, and hunters all have class tools that negate or reduce the fall damage from mine launches — use them between stomps to stay healthy.
