Learn Each Wave Pattern
Learning the 10-wave cycle is the most critical step — once you can consistently handle the first 10 waves, progress through waves 11–30 comes much faster, often requiring only a couple of additional attempts.
Map Your Cooldowns Per Wave
Assign a specific cooldown to each wave in advance: for example, a druid can use Tranquility on AE waves (2, 5, 9), Ironbark on melee waves (7, 10), and interrupt abilities on caster waves (4, 6, 8), with a personal healing cooldown like Vigil layered on top where needed.
Optimize Gear and Stats (Disc Priest)
At item level 463, prioritize Intellect and significantly higher Spirit than usual; recommended scaled-down stats with food and flask are 12,550 Intellect and 12,930 Spirit, with 18.1% crit and 26% mastery. Use a Revitalizing meta gem, and 
Courageous Primal Diamond where applicable, with BiS trinket being Relic of Chi-Ji.
Choose Talents Carefully
For Restoration Shaman, prioritize the talent that extends Healing Rain duration, as it can last up to 40 seconds and cover most of the group during chomp DoTs and AE damage waves. For Druid, Ysera's Gift provides free smart heals without mana cost, and Typhoon is critical for handling Flamecaster mobs that threaten your party.
Stay Calm and Roll Through Punches
Disc Priest players should not panic during high-damage phases — being calm and reacting deliberately to each wave type is what separates failed attempts from a successful Wave 30 completion.
Tips
For Disc Priest at i463, the Soul Prism of Lei Shen necklace from Throne of Thunder is a top gear choice because its sockets are not subject to downscaling.
The legendary healer cloak remains a top item for this trial due to its secondary stats and socket even at scaled-down item level.
For Druid, using Force of Nature as a talent option at Rank 4 can provide additional healing throughput during difficult waves.
Restoration Shaman players should position Healing Rain so the entire group except the hunter stands in it, maximizing its value during group-wide damage waves.
