Proving Yourself: Silver Damage (Level 90)
Successfully complete the Basic Damage (Silver) trial at the Proving Grounds.
Proving Yourself: Silver Damage (Level 90) is earned by successfully completing the Basic Damage Silver trial at the Proving Grounds, an 8-round challenge where your gear is scaled down to item level 463 and set bonuses are disabled.
Understand Trial Restrictions
Your gear is scaled to item level 463, set bonuses are disabled, and the special effects of legendary meta gems are disabled. Flasks, food buffs, and profession abilities such as Synapse Springs or Nitro Boosts are allowed, but potions are disabled.
Know the Silver Round Structure
The Silver trial is 8 rounds long and introduces two new mob types beyond the Bronze lineup: Amber-Weavers, which conjure Amber Globule Detonations that slowly follow you, and Mystics. You take zero damage throughout DPS challenges, so focus entirely on dealing damage and applying crowd control such as interrupts, fears, stuns, and silences.
Handle Round 8 Positioning
In round 8, position yourself in front of the Slayer at the start so the Slayer acts as a shield against incoming Amber Globules. The Mystic spawns in the center with an Amber-Weaver to each side. Use crowd control such as Polymorph or Fear on one Amber-Weaver immediately, then burn the Mystic first, followed by the free Amber-Weaver, then the crowd-controlled Amber-Weaver, and finally the Slayer.
Arrive With Sufficient Item Level
An item level of at least 615 is recommended before attempting this trial to compensate for the gear scaling.
