Accelerated Archaeology
Pick up three special artifacts in a single instance of the Dark Heart of Pandaria scenario.
Accelerated Archaeology requires picking up three special artifacts marked by yellow beams of light during the artifact collection phase of the Dark Heart of Pandaria scenario.
Enter the Scenario
Enter the Dark Heart of Pandaria scenario and wait for the artifact collection phase to begin before touching any normal artifact crates.
Collect Special Artifacts First
During the artifact collection phase, locate and collect the three special artifacts marked by tall yellow beams of light — a Book, a Scroll, and a Vase — before collecting any normal artifacts, as picking up too many normal ones will cause the special artifacts to despawn.
Grab the Book Artifact
The Book artifact is located to the left of the cave entrance to the south of the zone. Run over it to collect it — you can do this while mounted or while stealthed.
Grab the Scroll Artifact
The Scroll artifact is in the eastern part of the zone, next to the dead Kodo. Run over it to collect it.
Grab the Vase Artifact
The Vase artifact is at the northernmost part of the outside zone area. Run over it to collect it.
Tips
Each special artifact counts as a large chunk toward the 50-artifact goal (5, 10, and 15 respectively), so collect all three before picking up normal artifact crates to prevent them from despawning.
Any player in the scenario can collect each special artifact and the entire group receives the achievement — it does not need to be the same person for all three.
