For the Ward!
Use a Sunreaver or Kirin Tor perimeter ward to finish off an opponent.
For the Ward! is a 10-point achievement earned by using a Sunreaver or Kirin Tor perimeter ward to deliver the killing blow to an enemy.
Unlock Island Progression First
This achievement cannot be completed until you have progressed into the further stages of the island — attempting it too early will not work.
Locate a Perimeter Ward
Find a Kirin Tor Perimeter Ward at 55, 61.3. Horde players should look for the troll group near Shan'ze Bloodseeker at 52, 59.7 to the east of Dawnseeker Promontory, while Alliance players should kite an Animated Warrior from the center of the island toward a Kirin Tor ward.
Kite an Enemy to the Ward
Pull a nearby enemy — the troll group near 52, 59.7, the small Devilsaur in that same group, or a Mighty Devilsaur at 55.03, 61.22 all work. A group of Zandalari and a God Hulk that walks close to the ward at 55.05, 61.42 is also a reliable option. Warrior players can use Heroic Throw on a flying dinosaur rider to dismount them, then kite the rider to the ward at 55, 61.3.
Damage Enemy to Low Health
Bring the enemy down to roughly 5–10% health, then stop attacking and let the ward deliver the killing blow. Avoid fighting too close to base guards, as their attacks may kill the enemy before the ward can finish it off.
Tips
Alliance players with access to Kirin Tor Wards can kite an Animated Warrior from the center of the island toward a ward at 55, 61.3 — the kite distance is long, so attack as lightly as possible while moving backward.
The Mogu and the patrolling Devilsaur near 55.05, 61.42 may not path close enough to the ward; the Zandalari and God Hulk group that walks down that path passes close enough to make the attempt work.
