Speed Metal
Defeat Metal Lord Mono-Han with 10 stacks of Power Surge.
Speed Metal requires you to defeat Metal Lord Mono-Han while holding 10 stacks of Power Surge, a buff gained by killing Shan'ze Electrocutioners near the Lightning-Vein Mine in the Throne of Thunder Isle.
Locate the Electrocutioners
Travel to the western segment of the Throne of Thunder Isle at 55, 30, where Metal Lord Mono-Han patrols near the entrance to the Lightning-Vein Mine. Six Shan'ze Electrocutioners are grouped nearby — five on the left side facing the cave and one alone on the right side.
Understand the Power Surge buff
Each time a Shan'ze Electrocutioner dies, a lightning orb is left on its corpse — stand on top of the dying mob or run over the orb to gain one stack of Power Surge. The buff starts at roughly 10 seconds on the first pickup, but killing additional Electrocutioners within the window extends the duration significantly and adds more stacks.
Kill the five left-side Electrocutioners
Kill the five Shan'ze Electrocutioners on the left side one by one — do not use AoE — standing on each corpse as it dies to collect every stack. After these five kills, Power Surge will have around one minute of remaining duration.
Kill the right-side Electrocutioner
Wait until Power Surge has roughly 20 seconds remaining, then kill the single Shan'ze Electrocutioner on the right side and stand on its corpse. This grants a sixth stack and refreshes the buff duration to approximately two minutes.
Wait for respawns, reach 10 stacks
The five left-side Shan'ze Electrocutioners will begin respawning while you wait. Kill them one by one, standing on each corpse, until you reach 10 stacks of Power Surge. Loot each body to allow respawns, and if the buff duration drops low before you reach 10 stacks, kill one more Electrocutioner to refresh it.
Defeat Metal Lord Mono-Han
Once you have 10 stacks of Power Surge active, immediately engage and burn Metal Lord Mono-Han. If the buff duration begins to run low during the fight, kill a nearby Shan'ze Electrocutioner and stand on its corpse to refresh it before finishing the boss.
Tips
If a melee companion is present, both players must be standing directly on the Shan'ze Electrocutioner's corpse when it dies — only one player standing on it will receive the Power Surge stack.
Solo ranged players who are not on top of the mob when it dies can still gain the stack by running over the lightning orb left on the corpse.
