Soft Hands
Defeat Ji-Kun in Throne of Thunder on Normal or Heroic Difficulty with the Golden Egg Still Intact.
Soft Hands requires you to defeat Ji-Kun in Throne of Thunder on Normal or Heroic difficulty while keeping the Golden Egg intact from the moment it spawns until the end of the fight.
Position Before Engaging Ji-Kun
The Golden Egg falls from the nest in the north-northeast section of the boss area. You can run around the outer ring without aggroing Ji-Kun, so position yourself near that nest before pulling the boss.
Burn First Hatchlings Fast
About 15 seconds into the fight, the Golden Egg spawns on the fourth nest, gains altitude, then drops quickly. Kill the first set of hatchlings as fast as possible so at least one player is free to fly up and intercept it.
Catch the Golden Egg
Fly through the egg to pick it up automatically — no clicking required. The moment you catch it, your feather buff is removed and you begin falling. A throw ability will appear at the bottom-center of your screen; do NOT click it.
Drop to the First Nest
The egg carrier should drop down onto the first nest and remain there for the rest of the fight. This avoids Down Draft, Caw, and Feed Pools entirely. Demon Hunters can use Glide after catching the egg to reach the first nest more easily.
Defeat Ji-Kun
Do not kill Ji-Kun before someone has caught the egg — killing the boss before the egg is caught will prevent the achievement from completing. Once the egg is safely held on the first nest, defeat Ji-Kun to earn Soft Hands.
Tips
This achievement is not limited to a single attempt — it can be completed on any valid pull as long as the egg is caught before the boss dies.
You cannot kill Ji-Kun before the egg is caught; nuking the boss too early will void the achievement even if the egg spawned.
