Cretaceous Collector
Defeat Horridon in Throne of Thunder on Normal or Heroic difficulty without killing any Zandalari Dinomancers.
Cretaceous Collector requires you to defeat Horridon in Throne of Thunder on Normal or Heroic difficulty without killing any Zandalari Dinomancers.
Enter Throne of Thunder
Enter the Throne of Thunder raid and locate Horridon, the second boss. At max level this encounter can be completed solo.
Understand Dinomancer Spawns
During phase 1, one Dinomancer spawns per troll tribe gate after three trash waves are defeated. Over the course of the fight up to four Dinomancers can be active at once, and none of them must die for the achievement to credit.
Interrupt Dinomancer Healing
Each Dinomancer can channel a heal on Horridon for 1% every 3 seconds — interrupt this spell to prevent Horridon from being healed, but do not kill the Dinomancer.
Reduce Dinomancers to Below 50%
Once a Dinomancer drops below 50% health it transforms into a dinosaur, can no longer channel its healing spell, and drops an Orb of Control. Clicking the orb locks the current door and stops further trash from spawning through it. Reduce each Dinomancer to just below 50% to gain the orb without killing them.
Burn Horridon Early if Possible
You do not need to open every gate — burning Horridon down at the second gate is enough to earn the achievement, reducing the number of Dinomancers you need to manage.
Tips
For groups running this at lower gear levels, using three tanks lets a dedicated off-tank hold all active Dinomancers away from the raid, preventing accidental AoE kills while the other tanks handle Horridon and add swaps. See the video guides for a visual walkthrough of tank positioning.
