A Test of Valor
Start Wrathion's legendary "Test of Valor" quest and earn 3000 Valor Points.
A Test of Valor requires completing Chapter 1: Trial of the Black Prince and obtaining your first sha-touched gem before the quest becomes available, after which you must earn 3000 Valor Points — note that this achievement is no longer obtainable as of patch 6.0 and is now a Legacy achievement.
Complete Chapter 1 First
You must complete the achievement 'Chapter 1: Trial of the Black Prince' and obtain your first sha-touched gem before the 'Test of Valor' quest unlocks and becomes available to accept.
Accept the Quest Immediately
Valor Point credit toward the 3000 total does not begin until the quest is accepted, and the quest is not retroactive — any Valor Points earned before accepting do not count.
Track the Achievement
To add the achievement to your tracker without searching for it manually, use the macro '/run AddTrackedAchievement(8030)' if you are Alliance, or '/run AddTrackedAchievement(8031)' if you are Horde.
Mind the Weekly VP Cap
Valor Points earned from dailies after hitting the weekly cap do not count toward the 3000 total, and spending Valor Points does not reduce your progress.
