Feral Vermling.
Purchase Vendor Pets
Buy pets from vendors, including 
Albino Snake, 
Ancona Chicken, Black Kingsnake, 
Cat Carrier (Bombay), 
Blue Clockwork Rocket Bot, 
Blue Dragonhawk Hatchling, 
Blue Moth Egg, 
Prairie Dog Whistle, Brown Rabbit Crate, Brown Snake, Cat Carrier (Calico Cat), 
Parrot Cage (Cockatiel), 
Undercity Cockroach, and Cat Carrier (Cornish Rex), among others available on the Auction House.
Battle Wild Pets by Zone
Work through wild pet battles starting from Silvermoon City down through Stranglethorn Vale, then through Durotar, Outland, Northrend, Cataclysm zones, and finally Pandaria, capturing different pet types in each zone and leveling your pets along the way to reach 250 unique pets.
Claim Your Feral Vermling Reward
Upon completing the achievement, the Feral Vermling will appear directly in your Pet Journal rather than in your mailbox or inventory, and there is no in-game message accompanying the reward beyond the achievement toast — if it does not appear immediately, relog to prompt it to show up.
Tips
The
Feral Vermling reward does not arrive by mail and triggers no reward message; check your Pet Journal first, and if it is missing after completing the achievement, a relog will cause it to appear.
