Taming the World

This achievement requires 40 total tamer defeats drawn from specific quest chains. Tamers in Draenor, Jeremy Feasel at Darkmoon Faire, and the Pandaren Spirit Tamers do NOT count toward the 40 required defeats.

The 40 tamers cannot be completed on a single faction alone. Horde characters complete Taming Kalimdor (12 tamers) plus Battle Pet Tamers: Eastern Kingdoms including Grand Master Lydia Accoste at 40.2, 76.6, while Alliance characters complete Taming Eastern Kingdoms (12 tamers) plus Battle Pet Tamers: Kalimdor including Grand Master Stone Cold Trixxy at 65.6, 64.6 in Winterspring. You will need a character of the opposing faction to fill the remaining gap.

Defeat the following tamers on Kalimdor: Zunta at 44, 28.8 in Durotar; Dagra the Fierce at 58.6, 53 in Northern Barrens; Analynn at 20.2, 29.6 in Ashenvale; Zonya the Sadist at 59.6, 71.6 in Stonetalon Mountains; Cassandra Kaboom at 39.6, 79.2 in Southern Barrens; Merda Stronghoof at 57.2, 45.8 in Desolace; Grazzle the Great at 53.8, 74.8 in Dustwallow Marsh; Traitor Gluk at 59.6, 49.6 in Feralas; Kela Grimtotem at 31.8, 32.8 in Thousand Needles; Zoltan at 40, 56.6 in Felwood; Stone Cold Trixxy at 65.6, 64.6 in Winterspring; and Elena Flutterfly at 46, 60.6 in Moonglade.

Defeat the following tamers on Eastern Kingdoms: Julia Stevens at 41.6, 83.6 in Elwynn Forest; Old MacDonald at 60.8, 18.6 in Westfall; Lindsay at 33.2, 52.6 in Redridge Mountains; Bill Buckler at 51.2, 73.6 in The Cape of Stranglethorn; David Kosse at 62.99, 54.57 in The Hinterlands; Deiza Plaguehorn at 67, 52.4 in Eastern Plaguelands; Durin Darkham at 25.6, 47.6 in Burning Steppes; and Lydia Accoste at 40.2, 76.6.

In Outland, defeat Bloodknight Antari at 31, 41.4 in Shadowmoon Valley and Narrok at 61, 49.4 in Nagrand. Taming Outland contributes 5 tamers total toward the achievement.

In Northrend, defeat Beegle Blastfuse at 28.6, 33.8 in Howling Fjord. Taming Northrend contributes 5 tamers total toward the achievement.

Defeat Bordin Steadyfist at 49.8, 57 in Deepholm and Brok at 61.4, 32.8 in Mount Hyjal. Taming Cataclysm contributes 4 tamers total toward the achievement.

In Pandaria, defeat Aki the Chosen at 67.6, 40.8 in Vale of Eternal Blossoms; Burning Pandaren Spirit at 57, 42.2 in Townlong Steppes; and Courageous Yon at 35.8, 73.6 in Kun-Lai Summit. Taming Pandaria contributes 7 tamers total toward the achievement. Note that the four Pandaren Spirit Tamers specifically do NOT count.

Horde players must pick up the Julia the Pet Tamer quest as Alliance, and Alliance players must pick up the Zunta the Pet Tamer quest as Horde. Alliance players can pick up all Battle Pet quests from Audrey Burnhep, who stands near the small lake north-east of the Dwarven District in Stormwind. Since these quests are account-bound, completing them on either faction contributes to the same achievement total.
